Community

Fashion can create value in more ways than one.

Alongside designing and producing contemporary clothing from reclaimed materials, Neuthread is committed to creating opportunities for people to participate in fashion, develop skills and contribute to a more creative and sustainable future.

This community work is delivered through Mend It, Don't Rag It (MIDRI) — Neuthread's community skills academy.

MIDRI brings Neuthread's values into communities through repair, alteration, upcycling, garment care, creative workshops and practical learning opportunities. It gives people the chance to build confidence, develop hands-on skills and explore pathways into fashion, design, retail, content creation and circular enterprise.

While Neuthread transforms reclaimed materials into desirable clothing, MIDRI creates the space for people to learn, create and participate.

Together, they reflect one shared vision: a fashion future that values materials, craftsmanship and people equally.

At the heart of Neuthread's community work is Mend It, Don't Rag It (MIDRI) — our community skills academy built around a simple belief: value should be recognised before it is discarded. Through repair, alteration, upcycling, garment care and creative learning opportunities, MIDRI helps people develop practical skills while exploring the wider world of fashion, design and creative enterprise.

Designed to create accessible opportunities for individuals whose creativity and talent are often overlooked by traditional pathways into the industry, MIDRI brings together makers, repairers, designers and creative thinkers who share a belief that fashion should value craftsmanship, creativity and people as much as the garments themselves.

Join The Movement

Whether you want to learn a new skill, repair a favourite garment, explore a creative interest or simply become part of a growing community centred around craftsmanship and circular fashion, MIDRI offers a place to start.

Because the future of fashion should not belong to a select few.

It should be shaped by everyone with something to contribute.
