Upcycled Denim Patchwork Top & Shorts Set

Designed to make use of every last piece, this two-piece set transforms fabric scraps from other Neuthread projects into a bold, streetwear-inspired design.

The cropped black top features a wide neckline, relaxed sleeves and an adjustable gathered hem. Hand-applied denim fragments create an asymmetric collage across the front and sleeves, retaining original pockets, seams, belt loops, buttons, stitching and naturally frayed edges.

The matching knee-length shorts have a loose, softly structured shape with a subtly gathered paper-bag waist. Wide fabric straps fasten through oversized antique-brass double D-rings at each hip, while contrasting denim fragments add detail across the front legs. The back remains predominantly black, allowing the shape and movement of the fabric to take focus.

Every donated textile has value. The denim used throughout this set comes from scraps created during the production of other Neuthread pieces—materials that may otherwise have been discarded or sent to landfill. By incorporating them into a new design, we maximise the use of everything donated and reduce waste across the collection.

Each set is individually finished in Britain, meaning the precise combination of denim washes, seams and original garment details will vary. No two pieces will be exactly the same.
